Become part of our crew on the ship!
For our missions in the Aegean Sea, we need dedicated volunteers who are willing and able to work on our ship for a more extended period of time -- at least 4 weeks.
The crew usually consists of seven people. Several specialized and permanent positions must be covered, and therefore we are looking for people with certain skills: Captain, (ship) mechanic, deckhand / RHIB driver and mission coordinator. For a complete crew that can go out for monitoring, there must be more people involved in observing, documenting, evaluating, publishing, as well as assisting with all other tasks that occur on the ship. So, if you don't have any of the above mentioned skills, but want to become part of the crew, feel free to write to us!
For 2020 we are only looking for captains, engineers and photographers.
Due to the blockade by the German Ministry of Transport we are currently unable to go out to our missions at sea. Nevertheless we are and will remain on site with crew on board. The crew mainly does research and media work with a focus on the situation at sea, but also human rights monitoring on land and repair work on the ship.
If you have experience on ships at sea, in human rights monitoring and actvism for refugees in Greece, or if you are simply motivated to support the project, send us an email via the contact form with some information about yourself, your skills and how and when you could support our mission!
At the moment we are especially looking for:
While all positions are volunteer, expenses such as food and board (on the ship) are covered.
Become part of our crew on land!
If you are interested in supporting us beyond the positions mentioned above, please contact us with some information on how you could imagine supporting the project. Contact us via the contact form.
